Amenity Access

Paloma Proximity Cards (Access to Amenity Center, Fitness Center, Pool and Pedestrian Gates)

Proximity Cards are white, plastic, credit-card-size cards which are required to access Paloma amenities: pool, gym, clubhouse, and pedestrian gates (on either side of the front entrance).

Q:  I’m a new Paloma home-owner, how do I get proximity cards for my use?

A.  The seller of your home should have left you their proximity cards.  If they did, the card(s) are likely in a temporary, deactivated mode.  In order to get them reactivated, please send an email to [email protected].  State your name, your address, and the numbers on the proximity cards, and the cards will be reassigned to you and reactivated in the system.  There is no cost for this service.

If the seller did not leave you their proximity cards, you will need to purchase new ones. You can send an email to [email protected] or contact the Property Manager to purchase a new card. The cost is $30 each, and each home may have up to two cards.

Q.  I’m selling my home. What should I do with my proximity cards?

A.  You should leave your proximity cards in the home for your buyer.  Typically, on the closing day of your home sale, the cards will be temporarily deactivated in the system.  This is done to render them unusable if they are not left in the home.  The cards will be reactivated only for the buyers of your home upon their request after they take possession of the home.

Q.  I’m a renter, how do I get proximity cards for my use?

A.  Please contact your landlord.  Your landlord is responsible to supply you with one or two proximity cards during your lease period.  Only homeowners may purchase proximity cards.  Neither tenants nor rental management firms should contact the Property Manager as only homeowners can obtain cards.

Q.  I’m a landlord, how do I get proximity cards for my tenants’ use?

A.  Landlords are responsible to leave either one or both of their personal proximity cards in their homes for their tenants’ use.  Only Paloma homeowners may purchase proximity cards, and each home may have up to two cards.  Do not instruct your tenants or rental management firm to contact management for proximity cards.  Additionally, landlords are prohibited from accessing any amenities while their dwelling is occupied by a tenant.

Q.  I lost my proximity card.  What should I do?

A.  Please send an email to [email protected].  State your name, your address, and the card number if you know it.  The card will be temporarily deactivated in the system so that it cannot be used by others until it is found and returned to you.

Q.  I found a proximity card.  What should I do?

A.  Please send an email to [email protected].  State your name, your address and the number on the proximity card.  The owner of the card will be contacted and arrangements can be made to return the card to them.

Q.  My proximity card is not working.  What should I do?

A.  First, make sure you were trying to use it during the amenity’s hours of operation.  The pool, gym, and clubhouse have set hours of operation which are available in the Rules and Regulations.  If your card isn't working during open hours, then send an email to [email protected].  State your name, your address and the number on the proximity card.  Once it’s been confirmed that the card was assigned to you, it will be reactivated in the system.  There is no cost for this service.

Q.  How can I get a replacement card?

A.  Each home is permitted to have up to two proximity cards.  The cost for a new card is $30 each.   Please send an email to [email protected] or contact the property manager to purchase a new one.

Q.  What happens if I am delinquent on my Paloma Community Associations HOA fees?

A.  If your fees are delinquent for more than ninety days, your proximity cards will be disabled and your cards will not be reactivated until the payment is received and processed.  There is a 3-5 business day administrative period required to reactive your proximity card once your account is current.
